The organisation recognises the important role that part-time employees can play in the workforce. It is prepared to employ part-time employees in jobs which can be done satisfactorily on a part-time basis, including those which can be done on a job-share basis. It will always consider requests from employees wishing to transfer from full-time to part-time work or vice versa.


  1. Part-time employees are defined for the organisation’s purposes as those who work less than ___ hours per week.

  2. Part-time employees may only be employed where:

    1. there is insufficient work for the job to be done on a full-time basis
