Motor vehicles have potentially harmful effects in terms of noise and exhaust pollution. Employers should ensure that:
vehicles are properly maintained so that they do not produce excessive exhaust or noise emissions
if their vehicles are to enter environmentally controlled zones, they comply with the requirements on minimum exhaust emissions or pay any charge
