Most employment disputes concerning the legal rights of employees can be dealt with quickly and relatively cheaply through employment tribunal proceedings. Tribunals are less formal than courts. Legal representation is not required, although the legal complexity of most employment matters means that generally someone involved in a tribunal case would have professional legal assistance.
