This policy sets out the actions to be taken by this care service in the event of a staff member receiving an NHS/Public Health England test and trace alert and who has been identified as a contact of someone who has independently tested positive for the Covid-19 virus. It is written in line with government guidance published on 19 July 2021.
The implications for the care service of having an employee notified of being a contact are potentially wide-ranging, affecting the smooth running of the service and the wellbeing of its service users. Hence the recognition that it must be prepared for such eventualities in line with the current government guidance.
