Introduction: Agenda Setting

  • A poorly formed agenda will be confusing and counterproductive, and use limited time inefficiently.

  • To set a meeting, agenda requires consideration of the:

    • meeting contents as a whole

    • individual items to be presented and discussed

    • order of presentation

    • length of time of the entire meeting and for discussion of individual items

    • preparations and planning needed for each item to be presented and discussed, including who should introduce it and how.

    Note:

These rules will apply to “virtual” meetings as to those in which people are physically present.
