Staff Behaviour – Safeguarding Policy

Policy Statement

[Name of school] recognises its responsibility to safeguard and promote the welfare of all children and young people (up to 18 years of age). This is defined as:

• protecting them from maltreatment

• preventing impairment of their health or development

• ensuring that they grow up with safe and effective care

• taking actions to enable them all to have the best outcomes.

In order to ensure this, all staff working in the school are expected to follow the code of conduct set out in this policy.
