Employers' Duties

  • Employers have specific duties under the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations 2002 (COSHH) (as amended) if a substance or mixture is defined as a carcinogen. Substances or mixtures are defined as carcinogens under COSHH if they are either:

    • classified under the Classification, Labelling and Packaging (CLP) Regulation (EC) 1272/2008) or GB CLP as a Category 1 (A or B) or 2 carcinogen
