As a general policy the organisation does not believe that giving and receiving gifts is appropriate to the efficient conduct of its organisation. Particular care should be taken following the introduction of the Bribery Act 2010 that any gifts given or received do not constitute a bribe and that the giving and receiving of the gift is in accordance with the organisation’s anti-bribery policy.

Procedure

Receipt of Gifts

  1. Any member of staff who is given or offered a gift of any sort by a business contact (eg customer, supplier, etc — actual or potential) must disclose the fact of the gift and its nature to their immediate superior.
