It is good practice to audit the provision on an annual basis. This will cover both the physical environment and resources of the provision, the policies and procedures as well as specific focus areas such as “working in partnership with parents”, “inclusion”, “equality of opportunity and diversity” or “induction of new staff /volunteers”.

It will be linked to the requirements of the EYFS and provide a snap shot of the provision as well as the starting point for making changes within the provision.
