Employers' Duties

The key duties of the employer are to:

  • implement training programmes and procedures which address the risks of accidents

  • ensure a sound system has been implemented for recording and reporting accidents

  • brief drivers properly on their responsibilities in respect of after-accident procedures

  • provide the necessary documentation and equipment to carry out those procedures
