My company has carried out the necessary manual handling risk assessments for employees. It has been suggested that we need to review individual assessments to take account of an employee ageing. Is this the case?

Carrying out assessments of manual handling operations and introducing control measures is not a one-off task. The age of an employee is a factor that needs to be considered but the need to review a manual handling assessment must be based upon a person’s capability to undertake the task also and not solely on age.
