Q

What are the key points in the Government guidance for working safely for restaurants re-opening after lockdown to offer delivery and takeaway?

A

There are mixed messages about re-opening in the new normal, so it is essential that the business is COVID-19 secure and that workers and customers feel safe.

There are four main steps to re-opening after lockdown.

  1. Carry out a COVID-19 risk assessment in conjunction with workers.

  2. Review food safety management systems based on HACCP and inform the local authority of any changes (eg from table service to takeaway, or home deliveries).
