Q

What are the latest changes to the inspection framework being proposed by Ofsted? If they are agreed, when will they take effect?

A

The latest proposed changes were put forward by Chief Inspector Amanda Spielman in a speech to school leaders at the annual SCHOOLS NorthEast summit in Newcastle last month. The Chief Inspector talked about a number of possible changes, including:

  • four new inspection judgments

  • schools to no longer receive a separate grade for outcomes for pupils
