What are the new personalised medicine proposals?

A

Details of the proposed Personalised Medicine Strategy have been presented to the NHS England board this September by Sir Bruce Keogh, the organisation’s National Medical Director.

Sir Bruce states that personalised medicine has the potential to improve patient outcomes and produce significant benefits for the NHS. He explains that these may include emergent approaches in areas such as “diagnostic tests, functional genomic technologies, molecular pathway, data analytics and real time monitoring of conditions.”
