Q

Are there changes to the way we notify the CQC about registered patient deaths during the Covid-19 pandemic, and should we notify every death?

A

GPs do not need to notify the Care Quality Commission (CQC) about every death of a registered patient. However, GP providers must notify the CQC if the person died while a CQC regulated activity was being provided, or if their death may have been a result of the regulated activity or how it was provided.
