We are about to issue a new tender for food services. How can we ensure waste is minimised?

According to the last WRAP report into food waste in the hospitality and food service (HaFS) sectors, food waste will rise to £3 billion by 2016. The core findings of the survey include the following.

  • The total amount of waste, including food, packaging and other “non-food” waste, produced each year at HaFS outlets is 2.871 million tonnes, of which 46% is recycled, sent for anaerobic digestion or composted.
