How can we go about involving more fathers in the pre-school activities of their children?
Many early years services have sought to increase the involvement of fathers. In most cases it is probably still mothers who have the majority of contact. However, there is evidence that this may be changing and that fathers are generally more open to engagement.
Some early years services have tried to target fathers directly, setting out to improve communication with them and to make them feel more welcome and at ease. Others try to target the areas where they know that fathers are likely to favour input.
