We are having an asbestos survey completed. It has been suggested that we can just presume that all materials contain asbestos rather than undertaking sampling and analysis. Is this the case?

A management survey undertaken to the requirements of HSG 264 Asbestos: The Survey Guide, is the standard survey used to meet legislative requirements in relation to the identification and management of asbestos-containing materials (ACMs).

Its purpose is to locate, as far as reasonably practicable, the presence and extent of any suspect ACMs in the building which could be damaged or disturbed.
