Community pharmacy traditionally comprises a retail outlet, usually on the High Street, which dispenses medication and sells other healthcare-related products. There is usually a qualified pharmacist who can provide other NHS services generally on a walk-in basis and provides a ready source of advice and support to patients in relation to medication, minor acute illnesses or long-term conditions.
