What was the recent ruling on overtime and holiday pay?
The Employment Appeal Tribunal (EAT) has recently ruled on Bear Scotland Ltd v Fulton (and two other joined cases) in which employers appealed against earlier decisions that workers should be entitled to have overtime included in the calculation of holiday pay.
The EAT rejected the appeals and left business organisations such as the CBI claiming that the resultant costs to employers could run into billions of pounds, and that some would have to close as a result.
