Research by the Centre for Disability Research (CeDR), funded by Mencap, has found that the population of older people with learning disabilities will increase four times faster than the overall adult LD population and, as they grow older, they will have many of the same age-related health and social care needs as other people but also face very specific challenges associated with their learning disability.
