Will the requirement for an ESOS energy audit be dropped now that we have left the EU and embarked on a new relationship with Europe?

ESOS is the EU Energy Savings Opportunity Scheme. In summary, it obliges larger businesses to conduct an energy audit which will identify energy saving opportunities. The deadline for Phase 2 of the scheme was 5 December 2019, so obligated businesses should all have completed their audits and submitted them to the regulator by that date.
