Almost anyone who is selling or renting a building will need an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC). The certificates describe the energy performance of buildings in terms of:
energy used per square metre of floor space
energy efficiency in relation to the amount of fuel used
environmental performance in terms of carbon dioxide emissions.
