My organisation wishes to develop a campaign to help embed appropriate behaviours in relation to the control of virus transmission in the workplace. What should we consider in such a campaign?

The “new normal” working environment has required organisations to introduce new risk control and mitigation measures to help reduce virus transmission.

These will inevitably require some form of behaviour change by employees and other stakeholders.

First, consideration needs to be given to the aims of the campaign. This could include behaviour change in terms of:

  • maintaining physical distance

  • improving hygiene practices

  • reducing interactions

  • encouraging staff to speak up/report concerns.
