There is no doubt that in urban areas, electric cars are the greenest option. They produce no polluting emissions and can, therefore, make a valuable contribution to improving air quality. The latest reports on NOx and particulate pollution in London — caused mainly by the large number of diesel vehicles — demonstrate that this is still a priority area for action.
