Can Croatian nationals work in EU Member States, following Croatia’s accession to the EU?
Croatia joined the EU on 1 July 2013. Upon its accession, EU Member States applied transitional restrictions on access to their labour markets, for up to seven years.
For a two-year period, EU Member States can choose to restrict the right of Croatians to work in their country, or in particular sectors.
