A

Safeguarding Adults: Roles and Responsibilities in Health and Care Services was published by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) on 8 May.

The document was written in partnership with NHS England, the Association of Directors of Adult Social Services (ADASS), the Local Government Association (LGA) and the Association of Chief Police Officers (ACPO). It clarifies the roles and responsibilities of those involved in safeguarding adults in the health and care sectors and sets out how individuals and organisations should work together.
