Impact on health and social care services users has been intensely damaging with many struggling to receive care, with evidence revealing some did not seek treatment. Some groups were already experiencing difficulties in accessing and receiving high-quality care and such inequalities have been further exacerbated. People with learning disabilities faced challenges, the need for mental healthcare increased, with children and young people particularly affected, and the strain on carers intensified.
