Now that Plan B has been dropped, what Covid-19 restrictions will be in place instead and are people still required to self-isolate?

In November 2021 a fresh wave of infection swept the country driven by a new highly transmissible variant of the Covid-19 virus, named Omicron. The Government recognised that this would put great pressure on health and social care services and in response urged people to get fully vaccinated and brought in new protective measures, referred to as Plan B.

Plan B was originally set out back in September 2021 as a contingency measure in their COVID-19 Response: Autumn and Winter Plan. It included the following key restrictions:
