As of January 2021 the following three vaccines have been licenced by the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) for use in the UK.

  • A vaccine developed by the drug companies Pfizer and BioNTech in the USA/Germany.

  • A vaccine developed jointly by Oxford University and AstraZeneca in the UK.

  • A vaccine developed by Moderna in the USA.
