Why is there a review of the NHS access standards?
Over the last 20 years the NHS has developed and implemented targets and standards to provide assurance to the public on the quality of care delivered and to enhance improvements in outcomes. However, as the model of care is moving ever more towards personalised care with a greater involvement of primary and community services and expanding the use of technology, the time has come to review those standards.
