What is the NHS Long Term Plan?
The NHS Long Term Plan, published in January this year, sets out how the £20 billion funding agreed as part of the 70th anniversary celebrations will be spent across the NHS in England. Within that, the sum of £4.5 billion will be directed towards enhancing primary and community care, for example, in the development of Primary Care Networks. These Primary Care Networks will be expected to deliver a wide range of personalised services and employ, among others, clinical pharmacists.
