Q

What should adult social care employers do to protect their services and staff in the event of Brexit, especially if they have a number of staff who are EU citizens?

A

There is a great deal of concern amongst adult social care employers about the impact on businesses of the UK leaving the EU, with or without a deal, particularly the impacts on staffing and the supply of medicines.

The government is advising adult social care employers to keep up to date with Brexit news and review their business continuity or contingency plans regularly. They should make sure that these are up to date and are consistent with other local contingency plans.
