I understand that new alcohol guideline limits have been suggested by the government. What do they say and when will they be implemented?

Proposed new guidelines to limit the health risks associated with the consumption of alcohol have been published by the Department of Health (DH).

These guidelines were produced by the UK Chief Medical Officers, with advice from an expert panel and based on the latest research evidence. This includes a new review from the Committee on Carcinogenicity (CoC) on alcohol and cancer risk.
