Q

What are the ongoing needs likely to be of those recovering from Covid-19?

A

The long-term prognosis, as well as the timeframe for those with residual symptoms after initial infection with Covid-19, are unclear and many who survive experience varied prolonged symptoms. Recovery may not be straightforward and treatment required to combat Covid-19 may have an ongoing impact on health and wellbeing.

Individuals with pre-existing long-term conditions are likely to be more severely affected and their rehabilitation needs more complex and specific. While the longer-term impact of Covid-19 is not yet fully known, developing evidence-based rehabilitation tools and appropriate support is key.
