Has the Adult Social Care Infection Control Fund been extended?
Yes. The current round of the Adult Social Care Infection Control Fund, established back in May, finishes at the end of September 2020. The Government has announced an extension of this until March 2021, to try to ensure providers have resources needed to stop transmission of Covid-19 throughout the winter months.
The impending second wave of the coronavirus pandemic, in conjunction with staff shortages and service demand, will place even greater and distinct pressures on the health and care system this autumn and winter.
