The Facts

The claimant was a registered nurse employed in a care home run by the respondent. She was in charge of a floor of the care home during night shifts. She was dismissed for gross misconduct, having admitted making a false entry on a patient's drip-feed record and failing to make proper observations in respect of a patient who had fallen.
