The Facts

In February 2008, Alan Hind was working on the demolition of an industrial building in Carlisle.

He fell 6m onto a concrete floor, suffering 16 skull fractures, a fractured jaw and wrist and kidney damage. His sight, hearing and personality have been permanently damaged. He has been unable to work since the incident and has had a titanium plate inserted into his skull.
