London worst city for air pollution health costs

The health costs of air pollution are higher in London than any other city in Europe, a study has found. Researchers calculated the monetary value of premature death, hospital treatment and lost working days in 432 European cities to come up with the top 24 cities most impacted. They measured the health-related and social costs caused by particulate matter, ozone and nitrogen dioxide produced by vehicles.
