Work at low heights can pose a serious risk of fatal injury due to falls, so employers must take adequate precautions to protect workers, says Russell Stuart.

When we spot distressing visuals of workers stranded on a wildly swinging platform at the top of a multi-storey skyscraper we instantly know they are in danger. However, it is work at lower heights that often represents a major risk.
