Disabled people can make a huge contribution to the success of a business, so it makes sense for employers to step up their efforts to recruit, retain and develop them, says Diane Lightfoot.

As we start a new year, we have an opportunity to look afresh at our priorities. There will be many challenges ahead this year but Covid-19, and, indeed, Brexit, should not be excuses for dialling back on disability inclusion and putting it in the ‘too difficult’ box. Indeed, if anything, I would argue that recent events have proven the need for robust, informed and agile disability inclusion policies like never before.
