Minimising the health and safety risks faced by vulnerable workers, such as disabled people and older workers, will help to boost diversity at work, says Lawrence Waterman.

There is a lot of discussion around the world about diversity. Just thinking in terms of the UK Equality Act 2010, we have six protected characteristics: age, disability, gender/sexual orientation, pregnancy and maternity, race and religion, of which the first four clearly have potential implications for vulnerability to risks in the workplace.
