The Building Safety Bill was published in draft last year. It is being revised to address important questions raised by Parliament and stakeholders during pre-legislative scrutiny. The revised Bill will be brought to Parliament soon and will introduce a new regulatory regime, overseen by the Health and Safety Executive (HSE), to enhance the fire and structural safety of new and existing residential buildings.
