I understand we have a legal ‘Duty of Care’ to deal responsibly with any waste our business produces. What does this mean?

Under UK waste legislation, all businesses have a Duty of Care to deal responsibly with any waste they create, including storing and disposing of the material correctly and confirming they have followed a specific ‘waste hierarchy’ when transferring the material to others, such as waste collection contractors.
