When people work outdoors for significant periods of time, their skin can be exposed to more sun than is healthy for them, placing them at risk of suffering skin damage and increasing the likelihood of them getting skin cancer.
Exposure to ultraviolet (UV) radiation from the sun can cause skin damage in the form of sunburn and can damage the genetic material in the skin cells, which can lead to skin cancer.
