The theme for the 15th annual National Apprenticeship Week, “‘Build the Future”, focuses on the benefits apprenticeships can have on individuals, businesses and local communities.
Taking place between 7 and 13 February, the week-long celebration will take place across England, encouraging individuals of any age to reach their career goals by building their skills and knowledge through an apprenticeship.
Peter Mucklow, the Director for Apprenticeships at the Education and Skills Funding Agency (ESFA), said: “Apprenticeships build skills supply now and for the future, and form an important part of many organisations’ recruitment, skills and business strategies. We want employers to showcase how they are realising the return on their investment when apprentices are brought into the business.”
To support National Apprenticeship Week 2022, individuals, employers, training providers and communities can get involved by encouraging everyone to consider how apprenticeships can help #BuildTheFuture.
A toolkit including downloadable social media assets is available at www.apprenticeships.gov.uk to support the apprenticeship community with planning activity for the Week.
The ESFA said that it is seeing the number of apprenticeships available in digital, data, green, environmental and technology roles increase and develop in new and innovative areas, and it hopes to hear some motivating stories of how apprentices have helped employers adapt and develop during a difficult year.
It is encouraging employers and others to use the hashtags #NAW2022 and #BuildTheFuture on social media activity.
